New Tour Offers Big Opportunities

February 12, 2010

The National Professional Golf Tour Presented by Arnold Palmer Golf Management represents a big step for developmental competition

The exhilaration of competing for big prize money on both the PGA and Nationwide Tours is an experience to which nearly all professional golfers aspire but few are ever able to enjoy.

Now that could all change following the launch of the National Professional Golf Tour (NPGT) presented by Arnold Palmer Golf Management—the first professional developmental tour played on the national stage that is both affordable and geographically convenient. Players competing in NPGT tournaments will not be required to travel all over their state or region, incurring in the process horrendous weekly travel costs, hotel and restaurant expenses, and shelling out outrageous entry fees.

So why not join the hundreds of professional golfers who are already lining up to experience the courses, competition and benefits of the NPGT?

A $1,200 annual membership fee grants entry to any of the 22 markets across the country. Membership also opens up the opportunity to qualify for the $25,000 National Cup match play event, the PGA Q-School, the $10,000 Player of the Year award, and the $500,000 Tour Championship which pays out a $100,000 check to the winner.

Members of the NPGT will also receive a free subscription to Kingdom magazine, which is published three times a year.

The NPGT, which tees off with its season opener on 1 April 2010, comprises professional golfers from North America and beyond who will be competing not just for prestige, sizeable purses and valuable tournament experience, but also paid entry into the PGA Q-School. This is a chance for all aspiring professional golfers to prepare themselves for a future playing on either the PGA or Nationwide Tour. Yes, the NPGT is bringing developmental golf to a whole new level.
